Finding resources online is as simple as typing in an item you want information about in a search engine and clicking enter, or is it? One thing you must be careful of is the source giving the information. Anyone can put anything they wish online whether it is true or not. So when doing research online, you must be careful to check your source.

1. Find the section or sections most closely related to the topic of your class. If you are writing a history paper, the first place to check should be the history section. Most bookstore sections are also organized by sub-topics, so if, for example, you are taking American history, there is likely to be a section of books specifically dedicated to that field. Keep in mind that there may be more than one group of books that you will find useful.
